Kenneth Penkowski Delivers Opening Presentation in AIGA's Business-to-Design Series

Local AIGA chapter focuses on building more value between business and design communities

RALEIGH, N.C. (23 February, 2010) Kenneth Penkowski, award-winning Executive Brand Director at Ulanguzi Creative Strategies, addressed an assembled group of business and design thought leaders in the first of AIGA Raleigh's Business-to-Design (B2D) series. The presentation, titled "Redefining the Agency/Client Dynamic," illuminated the unique ways that Ulanguzi structures client engagements, both culturally and financially, to realize a greater return for both agency and client, making design thinking a more central component of success.

As an agency, Ulanguzi focuses not simply on targeted and effective creative in traditional and online media, but also on their clients' businesses and the relationship that a design agency should have to deliver results.

Asked about his motivation for participating in this series, Kenneth stated, "Bringing business and design together in a way that increases the value for everyone, including customers and the community, is something about which I am strongly passionate."

In the presentation, Kenneth spotlighted three client engagements where an unconventional approach to business and design was the best way to move the client's business forward.

"Bringing forward-thinking business and design leaders to our audience is an important initiative for our organization," remarked Jeff Bowman, Program Chair for AIGA Raleigh's B2D series. "Kenneth's perspective and delivery ignited a lot of thought about how these two communities, business and design, can work together to create strong, value-building relationships."
